10 BCL men of Sylhet Govt College hurt in factional clash

At least 10 activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Sylhet Government College unit were injured in a factional clash over establishing supremacy on the campus yesterday.

The injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Shahporan police and witnesses said a group led by BCL activist Md Sayem and another led by Md Zakaria locked into a clash with iron rods, and hockey and bamboo sticks after Sayem misbehaved with his rival members.

Both Zakaria and Sayem could not be contacted over the cell phones.

Additional police have been deployed on the campus. Police were preparing to file a case till filing of this report at 8:00pm.
