Two Bangladeshi primary school students were selected to receive US $100 each while their respective schools US$200 in a UN World Food Programme (WFP) drawing competition.

Asked to imagine a world with "Zero Hunger: Infinite Possibilities", Sreyoshi Bagchi, 10, and Lamisa Imroz were selected among top contributors worldwide and also awarded certificates at a recent workshop on school feeding in Bangladesh.

"A world without hunger is within our reach," a WFP press release yesterday quoted WFP Bangladesh Representative Christa Räder as saying at the workshop.

Every year, WFP invites children from its school feeding programmes to participate in the competition. This year, thousands from 23 countries took part.

In Bangladesh, 3.5 million primary school students receive a snack daily through a government feeding programme supported by WFP.
