2-day long Int’l conference at Green University from tomorrow

A two-day international conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry (STI) will begin at Green University of Bangladesh in the capital tomorrow.

Faculty of Science and Engineering of the university is going to organise the international conference at permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh in Purbachal American City of Dhaka.

The event will end Wednesday (December 25), a press release said today.

The STI welcomed researchers, industry professionals and practitioners to display their scientific achievements and sustainable innovative industrial developments in the fields of computer science & engineering, electrical & electronic engineering, textile engineering, robotics and cyber-physical systems that are entering into Industry 4.0.

Approximately 500 researchers and faculty members from different national or international universities are expected to participate in the event.

Three different tracks will be included in the mega event- Intelligent Computing, Network and Security Systems, Electronics, Power and Communication Systems and Textile Engineering.

A total of 203 papers were submitted from there 78 papers were selected for oral presentation and 36 papers for poster presentation.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE Explore Digital Library (only track one and two). Three papers are selected for the “Best Paper” award.

The first prize winner will receive Dhaka -Singapore -Dhaka air ticket. The second prize winner will receive Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka air ticket, and the third prize winner will receive Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka air ticket.

There will be a best paper award selected by the IEEE Bangladesh section. There will be also a “Best Poster” award for poster presentation. In addition to that Prof Dr Muhammad Harunur Rashid of Florida Polytechnique University, USA will give three best paper awards to prospective authors.

Das (IEEE fellow, Professor and Daniel St. Clair Endowed Chair, Department of Computer Science, Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA), Deng Zhongmin (Professor and Vice-director, Hubei Modern Textile Engineering Research Center), Alamgir Hossain (Professor, Artificial Intelligence, Senior Academic, Healthcare Innovation Centre, Senior Academic, SCDT Department of Computer Science & Information Systems), Fahim Kawsar (Director, Bell Laboratories), Oksam Chae (Professor, Computer Vision, Kyunghee University, South Korea), Rahamatullah Khondoker (Professor, Applied Sciences, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany), Dr Md Atikur Rahman Ahad (Osaka University, Japan), Dr Celia Shahnaz (Chair, IEEE BDS). The Chief Patron of STI 2019 committees will be Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mamun (Chairman, Board of Trustees, Green University of Bangladesh), Patron will be Prof Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir (Vice-Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh, Senior Fellow of HEA, UK), General Chair will be Prof Dr Md Abdur Razzaque (Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh, Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SMIEEE), Associate Editor, IEEE Access, Editorial Board Member, Journal of Network and Computer Application (JNCA), Elsevier, International Journal on Internet and Distributed Computing Systems (IJIDCS), Journal of  Computing and Applications (JCA), and Lead Guest Editor, International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks (IJDSN).
