20,000 commit suicide annually in Bangladesh: WHO statistics

On an average 20,000 people annually commit suicide in Bangladesh, said speakers citing a statistics of World Health Organization at a press conference yesterday.
Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment Centre organised the programme "Preventing Suicide: Reaching out and Saving Lives" at Dhaka Ahsania Mission in the capital's Dhanmondi, marking World Suicide Prevention Day.
