3 of a family hurt in Sylhet mudslide

Three members of a family were injured as a chunk of earth from a rain-soaked hill fell on their tin-roofed house in Muhona residential area of Sylhet city early yesterday.

Rubi Begum, 24, wife of Helal Ahmed; Nahim Ahmed, 7, their son; and Rubina Begum, 17, cousin of Rubi, were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital.

They were asleep during the incident, said witnesses.
