4 found dead in dists

Four people were killed in different parts of the country in the last two days.

In Chandpur, police recovered the body of a youth, aged around 30, beside a road in Ragoi area yesterday morning.

Shahrasti Police Station Sub-inspector Nazim Uddin said the youth was hacked in the face, head and throat.

The body was sent to the Chandpur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

In another incident, police recovered the body of Suvo Saha Chanchal, 22, an accounting student of honours course in Chandpur Government College, from the river Dakatia on Thursday, two days after he had gone missing.

Biplob Saha, a brother-in-law of Chanchal, said he went out of home on December 1, saying that he would return after a walk.

Chandpur Model Police Station Sub-inspector Nizam Uddin said he was clad in a blue T-shirt.

In Narayanganj, police recovered the body of a youth, aged around 29, with his throat slit, from a canal in Gandhabpur of Tarabo upazila yesterday.

Sumon Miah, 29, left his home on Thursday without informing the family, Rupganj Police Station Sub-inspector Mahabubul Alam quoted the family members as saying.

He said locals first noticed the body.

In Munshiganj, a 23-year-old youth Mostafa was knifed to death by miscreants over gambling at Doyal Bazar of Sadar upazila on Thursday night.

He was declared dead at Munshiganj General Hospital on arrival.
