7 houses gutted in Ctg

Fire gutted seven tin-roofed houses in Fisherighat area of Chittagong city yesterday morning.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit at one of the houses around 7:00am and spread to the adjoining others, said Fire Service officials.

Fire fighters doused the blaze around 8:45am and estimated the damage caused by the fire at Tk 4 lakh.
