7-yr-old child ‘raped’ in Dhaka

A case was filed against a teenage boy for allegedly raping a child at a Dhanmondi hospital in capital Dhaka yesterday.

The 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the case, Mosharaf Hossain, a sub-inspector of Dhanmondi Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The seven-year-old victim was allegedly raped by the accused, a canteen boy of the hospital, after she with her mother went to the hospital yesterday afternoon, SI Mosharaf said.

The victim's mother later filed the case with the local police station, he added.
