ACC arrests Ctg trader in graft case
The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested an iron rod trader at Agrabad in Chittagong city yesterday afternoon in a case filed against him for accumulating wealth of Tk 1.10 crore illegally and concealing information in his wealth statement.
On October 20, 2015, the ACC filed the case against Naimul Islam, 45, a trader of Bahaddarhat in the port city.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of ACC arrested Naimul about 4:00pm.
He later was handed over to Kotwali Police Station, said ACC Chittagong Divisional Director Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan.
He will be produced before the court today, the ACC official added.
