Army officers of Benin tragedy remembered

A meeting, commemorating the members of UN peace keeping mission of Bangladesh Army who died in an air crash in Benin 12 years ago, was held in the capital yesterday.

Coalition of Local NGOs Bangladesh held the programme, marking the 12th anniversary of the tragedy, at Dhaka Reporters Unity.

On December 24, 2003, 15 Bangladesh Army officers, who were on UN peacekeeping mission in Sierra Leone and Liberia, were killed in the air crash.
