'Arrest fear' sends man's heart to fatal failure in Sylhet

A man died of a heart failure allegedly after police went to arrest him at Mominkhala in South Surma of Sylhet yesterday.

The deceased was Priyotosh Bhattyacharjee, 65.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (south) of SMP Zedan Al Musa said police went to arrest him with an arrest warrant of court for a bounced cheque case against him.

As he became ill seeing the warrant, police rushed him to North-East Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said adding, the man was having different old-age complications.
