Arrest warrant issued against film actor Ahmed Sharif

A Dhaka court yesterday issued an arrest warrant for film actor Ahmed Sharif for not appearing before it in a case filed over a dishonoured cheque.

The court passed the order after the film actor failed to appear before it yesterday.

On March 5, businessman Mosharraf Hossain Sumon filed the case after a cheque for Tk 167,000 issued by Sharif to Eastern Bank bounced twice.

The court ordered law enforcers to submit a report by August 1 on execution of the arrest warrant.
