Bangladeshi shot dead in SA

A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by miscreants in Kimberley, capital of Northern Cape province in South Africa on Saturday night.

Deceased Khairul Alam, 38, was from Dhampal village of Golapganj upazila in Sylhet.

The victim's elder brother Sohel Ahmed said a gang of miscreants reportedly attacked his (Khairul's) business establishment at Delpot village of Kimberly around 10:30am local time and opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot. Khairul had been living in South Africa for the last five years.
