BGB starts patrolling 5 Ctg dists for secutity during Durga Puja

To ensure security of the Puja mandaps, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) yesterday started patrolling in the five districts of Chittagong.

Lieutenant Colonel Nasir Uddin Ekram, director (operations) of BGB South-East Zone, said they would patrol all the Puja mandaps in the districts --Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Khagrachari, Rangamati and Bandarban -- till October 22.

However, he could not tell how many platoons were deployed.
