BNP leader Minu freed from jail

Former Rajshahi city mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu was released on bail on Wednesday.

The jail guards were withdrawn from the cabin of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital around 7:00pm where Minu was undergoing treatment for last one week, said Rajshahi Central Jail Super Shafiqul Islam Khan.

Minu, also the city unit BNP president, was sent to jail on July 13 in seven cases filed over vandalism during anti-government movement this year.

He got bail in the cases from the High Court this month.
