Cattle trader sent to jail for fattening cows with medicines

A mobile court of Rapid Action battalion (Rab) today sent a cattle trader to jail for using injections for fattening his cows at Gabtoli cattle market in capital Dhaka.

On information, the mobile court led by Rab’s Executive Magistrate Sarwoer Alam arrested Rahamatullah, hailing from Alamdanga of Chuadanga, and sent him to jail for six months after he was caught red-handed with the harmful medicine in the cattle market around 5:00pm.

He bought the medicine from a middleman in Dhaka and used it on his two cows for three days to make those look fat and healthy, he said.
