Couple found dead in Rajshahi house

Police recovered the bodies of a couple from their Chandipur rented house in Rajshahi city yesterday.

Abdul Momin Shihab, 22, was a fourth year student of Islami Bank Medical Nursing College; and Sharmin Khatun, 19, was a second year student of Rajshahi Diabetic Association Nursing College.

Shihab of Naogaon was found hanging from the ceiling while Sharmin of Rajshahi from a window, said Mahmudur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station.

They had been living together in the house for three months claiming to landlord Mosharraf Hossain that they were married.

However, their marriage certificate was not available till filling of this report last evening.

Police recovered a note from the room in which the two said that they committed suicide as their families were against their relationship.

The bodies were sent to Rajshahi Medical College morgue for autopsy.
