Ctg port worker killed as straddle carrier runs him over

A worker died as he was accidentally run over by a straddle carrier in Chittagong port on Saturday night.

The deceased Belayet Hossain, 40, of Lakshmipur was working at the NCT Yard of the port around 6:30pm when the accident occurred.

He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 10:30pm, said police.
