CU Pragatishil Chhatra Jote demands return of valuables "looted by BCL"

Pragatishil Chhatra Jote, Chittagong University (CU) unit at a human chain yesterday demanded that Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) return all the valuables they looted from two dormitories in a clash with Islami Chhatra Shibir.

They formed the human chain on the CU Central Shaheed Minar premises protesting the looting incidents on May 22. Speakers at the programme claimed BCL men looted cash, at least 50 laptops, mobile phones, tabs, and even clothes after breaking into rooms of general students in Alaol Hall and AF Rahman Hall.

The clash started when BCL activists were playing cricket on the playground of Alaol Hall, known as a stronghold of Shibir.
