Death anniversary

Today is the 20th death anniversary of Muhammad Ansar Ali, a freedom fighter and justice of Bangladesh Supreme Court.

On this occasion, a qurankhani and a doa mahfil will be held at his village home in Naogaon and at Banani graveyard.

He was the senior vice president of Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and president of the then Rangpur High Court Bar Association.

He was awarded posthumous Matribhasha Padak 2001 for his contribution to the Language Movement of 1952.
