Death anniversary

Today is the 44th death anniversary of Rafiqul Haider Chowdhury (Eshika), a martyred intellectual, says a press release.

On this day in 1971, Razakar Bahini, an auxiliary force of the Pakistan occupation army, picked him up blindfolded from his Shahidbagh residence and, later, killed him.

A milad mahfil will be held after Asr prayers at Aminbagh mosque in the capital.
