Death anniversary

Today is the sixth death anniversary of Quazi Azher Ali, a distinguished educationist, former secretary to the Bangladesh government, founder president and the first vice chancellor of Bangladesh University.

On this occasion, a visit will be paid to his grave at 10:00am and a milad and a doa mahfil will be held at Bangladesh University (15/1 Iqbal Road, Mohammadpur, Dhaka) at 12:00noon.

Under the chairmanship of Azher, Power Development Board constructed power line from Teknaf to Tetulia.

Also a social worker, Azher authored many books including Rural Development in Bangladesh, State Trading and its Impact on Economy, Smritir Pata Theke and Amar Dekha Ekushey.
