Death anniversary

Tomorrow is the first death anniversary of Sheikh Abu Hamed, a social worker and a Liberation War organiser.

On this occasion, a two-day programme will be held in Dhaka and Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria.

As an elected member (culture) of Dhaka College Students, Union Abu Hamed took part in the 1952 Language Movement. He was also involved in the establishment of Sarail Girls School, Sarail Thana Awami League and Sarail Degree College.

He was the father of Sheikh Majlish Fuad, news editor of Bangladesh Television.
