Dhaka’s Lalbagh land officer suspended

HM Mezbah Uddin, Kanungo (a land official) at Lalbagh Revenue Circle of Dhaka was suspended for his alleged involvement in corruption today.

In a sudden drive, a team led by Mohammad Maksudur Rahman Patwari, secretary ministry of land, visited the land office around 11:00am on May 29 and tracked mobile conversation of the land official.

Based on the outcome of the mobile tracking, Patwari found evidence of the illegal transaction in the conversation that continued with a one Metadoor Arif for around 2 minutes, reports a press release of the Land Ministry.

After being confirmed through crosscheck, Patwari suspended Mezbah Uddin and said departmental action will be taken against him immediately, the release said.
