Dr Fazle Rabbi's martyrdom day today

Today is the 44th death anniversary of martyred intellectual Dr Fazle Rabbi.

On December 15, 1971, the Pakistani occupation army and its auxiliary force Al-Badr picked up Dr Fazle Rabbi from his Siddheswari residence in the capital and killed him on that night.

His body was recovered from Rayerbazar mass grave on December 18.

Renowned cardiologist, Fazle Rabbi was a professor of the medicine and cardiology department of Dhaka Medical College.

Family members will place wreaths at his grave and distribute food among the destitute, said a press release.
