DU English dept refutes exam boycotters' claim

The Department of English of Dhaka University yesterday refuted the claim of the master's students who boycotted the first semester final exam on Monday that they had not gotten adequate time for preparation and the admission process had been incomplete.

A statement, signed by the department's chairperson, Prof Rubina Khan, said the students got nearly one month for preparation, and the administration made special arrangements so that the students, who were yet not enrolled, could take the exam. All 150 students boycotted Monday's exam.
