DU English dept students seek exam adjournment

Master's students of the English department of Dhaka University yesterday besieged the vice chancellor's office demanding adjournment of their first semester final examination scheduled to start today.

The students said they want their exams to begin after Eid-ul-Fitr. They said they raised the demand as many students, who passed the honour's exams, did not get their results and mark sheets on time leading to a delay in their admission. VC Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, however, said the exams will be held on time.
