E-commerce deliverymen can move across Dhaka: police

E-commerce delivery persons can move across Dhaka without restriction, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today issued a circular in this regard.

DMP said e-commerce can help people stay at home by taking necessary items to their doorsteps.

The order, signed by Deputy Commissioner (operation) of DMP, Probir Kumar Ray, was sent to all police stations -- allowing deliverymen to move across the city with packages using bicycle, motorbikes, covered van or other modes of transport.

Earlier, delivery persons of e-commerce services were randomly facing obstacles from law enforcing agencies while taking goods to consumers, said a top office-bearer of e-CAB.
