Fire damages 32 houses, 2 godowns

Fire gutted valuables, worth Tk 8 lakh, of 32 tin-roofed houses and two warehouses in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong early yesterday.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit in a house at Rashidia Para and soon spread to the adjacent houses and warehouses around 12:13am, said Sarwar Jahan of Chittagong Fire Service Control Room.

On information, fire fighters rushed there and doused the blaze after three hours, he added.
