First ever ICT career camp starts Saturday

The government is going to launch first ever ICT Career Camp at different public and private universities and colleges across the country to motivate students to build career in IT, said official sources.

They said the grand opening of the ICT Career Camp to be organised by the World Bank financed

Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) Project of Bangladesh Computer Council

(BCC) under ICT Division will be held at the Krishibid Institution in the capital on Saturday.

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak will inaugurate the camp. Similar camps will be organised at the selected educational institutions within one year.

"We are launching the career camp in the educational institutions to show the career path in IT

for the students," said Zunaid Ahmed Palak.   Palak said events of daylong ICT Career Camp include highlighting future prospects in IT, motivational speech of iconic personalities, question-answer session and quiz competition.

He said the LICT project, which has signed memorandum of understanding with 22 universities and colleges will create 45,000 skilled human resources through IT training.
