Gas, continuous electricity supply to Sylhet BSCIC demanded

Industrialists of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) in Sylhet yesterday demanded continuous electricity supply to their factories and gas connection to new factories.

The demands came at a press conference organised by BSCIC Shilpa Malik Samity at BSCIC in Gotatikor area of the city. Speakers said there were 62 factories in the area which produce products worth Tk 107.2 crore annually but due to the lack of gas connection and power load shedding factories were not being able to run properly. They also demanded immediate repair of roads and development of sewerage system in the industrial area.
