Gazipur ward councillor arrested

Detective Branch of police yesterday arrested a councillor of ward-7 of Sreepur municipality for his alleged involvement in violence during the blockade of the BNP-led alliance.
Police said Haris Uddin Majhi, also the finance secretary of Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, Gazipur, is accused in about eight to ten cases.
