14 flights delayed due to dense fog at Dhaka airport

A total of 14 flights at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport were delayed while eight others were diverted due to dense fog today.

The authorities suspended the flight operation due to poor visibility around 4:00am, which resumed at 9:40am, said SM Wahidur Rahman, deputy director of air traffic control of the airport. 

The flights were diverted to Kolkata, Bangkok, Myanmar and Sylhet airports during the period, the official said.
