Hefajat leader Harun remanded
A Chittagong court yesterday placed Hefajat-e Islam leader Mufti Harun Bin Izhar on a two-day remand in a violence case.
The order came after detectives sought a 10-day remand for him in the case, court sources said. The case was filed with Kotwali Police Station on May 13, 2012, over an attack on police during a rally of the BNP-led 20-party alliance in city's Kazir Dewri. Mufti Harun was shown arrested in the case as he was rearrested at Chittagong jail gate immediately after his release on bail in four other violence cases on Tuesday.
