Indian rupees over 68 lakh found in Ctg airport cargo shed

Customs officials recovered Indian rupees worth over 68 lakh from a carton at the cargo shed of Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong yesterday.

During a regular inspection, customs officials detected the carton which did not have any airway bill or any sticker mentioning its owner's name or address on it, said Md Abul Kashem, assistant commissioner of the airport customs.

On September 21, officials of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate recovered Indian rupees worth Tk 2.71 crore from a container at Chittagong Port.
