JCI holds workshop on cyber security in Dhaka

JCI Dhaka North organized an advocacy workshop on cyber crime and security titled “Protect Your Identity" on July 27, 2019 for the people who face tough times on cyber spaces, who are under possible threats of cyber issues and those who want to make their cyber life safe.

Tech-experts, academicians, representatives of law-enforcing agencies and law practitioners shared insights, experiences, suggestions and eye-opening case studies during the workshop, according to press release.  

Sharful Alam, chief operating officer of aamra networks limited, spoke about the role of ISPs in ensuring safe internet, internet ecosystems, and forward and backward linkages for Data Privacy.

Ishtiaq Ahmed, assistant commissioner of police, Cyber Security and Crime Division, Dhaka Metropolitan Police focused on how severely the crime is increasing and what consequences we might face.

Tanzim Al Islam, advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, focused on how we can secure our cyber uses and can keep ourselves safe from different cyber-attack and crime.

Dr BM Mainul Hossain, Associate Professor, Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, shared the case studies on how people overcame incidents, the release said.  

During the program, Irfan Islam, national president of JCI Bangladesh, its national vice president Arman A Khan and other members of JCI Bangladesh were also present.
