Journos' home burgled in capital

Burglars took away valuables and cash from the residence of a Daily Star journalist in the capital's Hatirpool area yesterday.

Prabir Barua Chowdhury, staff reporter of the newspaper, lives on the fourth floor of a building opposite Hatirpool kitchen market with three other newsmen and two bankers. The burglars broke into the flat when all five were outside. They stole four laptops, three cellphones, US$500, and around Tk 5,000. Nurunnabi Sarkar, staff reporter of Jamuna TV, noticed the burglary when he returned home. Police visited the spot.
