Man hacked to death in broad daylight in Sylhet

A man was hacked to death in broad daylight in Shamimabad residential area of Sylhet on Sunday afternoon.

Islam Hossain, 35, of the area was a construction worker. Islam's brother Arman Hossain said three men -- Jamal Uddin, Liton Ahmed, Ruhel Ahmed Mursalin -- came to their house searching for Islam who was outside then. Later, while leaving, the trio found Islam on their way and killed him. Kotwali police said they sent the body to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed accusing 13 including the trio, they said.
