Man killed in road accident in Dhaka’s Demra

A man, around 45-years-old, was killed after a microbus hit him at Sarulia Ranimahal Bazar area in Dhaka's Demra today.

"The incident occurred around 12:30pm," said Md Bachchu Mia, inspector of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost.

The man was brought to DMCH emergency unit in a critical condition where on-duty doctors declared him dead, he added.

Police were able to seize the microbus but its driver fled the scene.

The body was kept in the hospital morgue for an autopsy, Bachchu said.
