Man's hanging body found in Dhaka hotel
A trader was found dead in a hotel in the capital's Farmgate yesterday.
Police recovered the hanging body of Ashraf Uddin, 30, an owner of an RMG buying house in Kaliakoir, Gazipur.
Following information from the hotel authorities, police found the body in a room on the sixth floor of the building, Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon police, told The Daily Star. Ashraf checked in on Monday, he added. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. The morgue sources said the body bore no signs of torture.
Another man was found dead beside a railway track at a station in Tejgaon on Monday night.
Sub-inspector Sirajul Islam of Dhaka railway police, said Khalilur Rahman, 38, was stabbed.
Earlier in the day, he was abducted from Farmgate, he quoted Khalilur's relative Tofazzel as saying.
