Memorial concert for Nita Mohalanobish in USA tomorrow

Amra Kojon, a cultural non-profit organisation, is organising a memorial concert for Nita Mohalanobish at 6:00pm tomorrow in PCTA Auditorium in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.

Nita was one of the most well-known practitioners of Rabindrasangeet and Atul Prasad's songs in New England and passed away in 2013 in New Delhi at the age of 45.

She was born and brought up in Bangladesh. Nita was trained at Chhayanaut, and was involved with "Kochi Kachar Ashor". In the USA, during her short career, she performed at many events in Washington, Boston, New York and Providence.

The concert titled "Amra Kothaye Pabo Taarey" will feature many prominent singers of Bangladeshi and Indian diaspora living in Northeastern United States. For more information, Mohitosh Talukdar Taposh can be contacted at amrakojon@gmail.com.
