Mobile financial service frauds busted

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested 11 members of a fraud gang in the country that steals money from mobile financial service (MFS) agents, after a three-month investigation. 

The gang used to clone the agents' SIM cards with cooperation of some unscrupulous staff of the mobile phone operators, said Shah Alam, additional deputy inspector general of CID, at a press conference in the capital yesterday. Six are now under their custody, and the rest in jail, he said.
