Nahid new vice president of Unesco general conference

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was elected as the vice president of the 38th Session of Unesco General Conference held at its headquarters in Paris yesterday.

He is leading Bangladeshi delegation in the conference being held from November 3 to 18, said a press release.

Ministers and officials of 195 member states, eight associate members and various UN agencies, NGOs and the media are attending the event.

Bangladesh will serve as the vice president for  the term 2015-2017.
