None arrested over gold looting from Ctg jewelry shop, case filed

None was arrested yet in connection with the looting incident at a jewellery shop at Baraiyer Hat in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong on Friday night.

A case was filed yesterday by Shahabuddin Ahmed, owner of the shop -- Shamim Jewelers -- with Jorarganj Police Station accusing seven to eight unidentified miscreants, said Officer-in-Charge of the station Jahedul Kabir.

Meanwhile, shop owners of Baraiyer Hat Bazar formed a human chain in the area yesterday morning demanding arrest of the criminals and recovery of the gold, said locals.
