NSU mourns MA Hashem

North South University (NSU) deeply mourns the passing of MA Hashem, founder trustee member and former trustee board chairperson of the university.

Hashem, also founder chairperson of Partex Group and former lawmaker, passed away yesterday at 1:20am.

He was a founder member of NSU Foundation, and served as the trustee board chairperson several times. NSU gratefully remembers his immense contribution to the university's growth, says a press release.

After Bangladesh's independence, Hashem started importing essential commodities and set up factories, which culminated in of Partex Group.

NSU prays for the salvation of his departed soul and for the bereaved family to have enough fortitude to bear the loss.
