Nurjahan Begum's 90th birthday today

Today is the 90th birthday of Nurjahan Begum, one of the most senior female editors of the sub-continent, says a press release.

Daughter of Mohammad Nasiruddin, editor of Bengali Literary journal Saogat, Nurjahan was the editor of Begum magazine and awarded the Ekushey Podok.

On this occasion, a greeting exchange programme will be held at her 39 Sharatgupta Road residence at 10:00am. Relatives and well-wishers are welcomed.
