Obituary

Sayera Khatoon Rahman, former professor of home economics at Eden Girls College, died at her residence (Chadini-2 in Banani) on Saturday. She was 79.

Widow of Khalilur Rahman, former superintendent of police and NSI deputy director, she left behind three children and two grandchildren.

Born in Tangail in 1946, she retired from her workplace in 1991.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held today after Zohr prayers at Gulshan Azad Masjid and she will be buried next to her husband's grave in Sterling Cemetery in Virginia tomorrow.
