Obituary

Amena Begum, widow of journalist Rezaul Huq and mother of renowned Rabindra singer Mita Huq, passed away yesterday, aged 74, following a prolonged bout of illness, in her residence in the capital.

She was buried at her family graveyard in Keraniganj of Dhaka.

Her qulkhwani will be held on Monday after the Maghrib prayers in her Dhanmondi residence.
