Obituary
Zarina Zaman, a former professor of the zoology department of Dhaka University, died due to a cardiac arrest in Michigan of the US on Thursday. She was 78.
She left behind two sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and six grandchildren and was buried in the Islamic Memorial Gardens in Westland in Michigan.
A former member of the Public Service Commission, she completed her bachelor's and MSc on Zoology at DU and did advanced studies at East West Center, the University of Hawaii and the University of Texas.
She earned a PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Her family members requested all to pray for her departed soul.
