Obituary

Anwara Sofia Islam, wife of former Information Minister and BNP standing committee member M Shamsul Islam, died from kidney failure at the United Hospital in the capital yesterday morning. She was 82.

She left behind her husband and two sons to mourn her death. She will be buried in the family graveyard in Mushiganj after Johr prayers today.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia mourned her death and expressed her sympathy to the bereaved family.
